Halo Master chief collection pauses during cut scenes.

I'm trying to replay through the older Halo series through to the new ones to follow the whole story. However, as soon as a cut scene starts the game pauses within a few seconds so I'll unpause it and a few seconds of the cut scene will play before it happens again. This is very frustrating and is making following the story very annoying. It only happens during cut scenes, if I leave the game idle with Master chief standing there and don't touch the control nothing happens for about 15 minutes until the controller disconnects. Is this a bug, or is there a setting I'm missing to fix it?

We understand that you're experiencing issues with the Halo Master Chief Collection. This issue could be caused by a few different things, such as a bug in the game or a problem with your console or controller. If the narration has a prompt to press any button before continuing the cutscenes then this means you need to do so, if there is no prompt for pressing any button then this could be a bug of the game.

To troubleshoot this issue, I would recommend trying the following steps:

Make sure your console and controller are up to date with the latest software updates.

Try power cycle for both your console and controller. Sometimes a simple restart can fix issues like this.

Console:

Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
Plug the console power cable back in.
Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Controller:

Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds until the controller turns off.
Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.

If the issue persists, our last resort is to do updating of the game. This can sometimes fix bugs or other issues with the game. If issue persists,
