    Halo Master Chief Collection : ODST and REACH installation blocked


    Hello,

    I have recently bought Halo MasterChief Collection in physical format for XBOX ONE. I was able to play Halo 1,2 and 3 without any issue. I was also able to launch Halo 5. However Halo 3 : ODST and Halo REACH appeared uninstalled from the Halo MCC menu. I
    went into the XBOX menu and installed both DLCs ( 10 MB each I think). After a reboot of the console, both DLC appeared installed from the XBOX menu, but still shows up as uninstalled from the MCC menu when trying to launch them. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling
    both the DLC and the MCC without success.

    My brother has the exact same issue, also with a physical copy of the game (but not the same as mine) on his XBOX one.

    The only thing I found when googling the issue was people suggesting uninstalling and reinstalling the game, or doing a complete reset of the console. A factory reset would be a huge pain, and I did not see any response saying that it solved the issue.

    Is there any fix available for this bug ?

    Hi, the version of odst you purchased, was it the xbox one version for Halo the Master chief collection or the Xbox 360 version of the game? If it was the Master Chief collection version, then you need the master chief Collection installed on your Xbox
    One to be able to download the game.

    Halo ODST for the Xbox One is an Add-On for the Master Chief Collection. you must own that in order to play it.

    When you fire up the Master Chief Collection, you should be able to start a campaign (under Halo 3) for ODST.

    The Original Xbox version of Halo CE is only backwards compatible on the the 360
    To play it on the One X you would need Halo The Master Chief Collection which includes
    Halo CE Anniversary

    Halo 3

    Halo 3 ODST - available as add on content

    Halo Reach - available as add on content

    Halo 4

    And at the moment it is HALF PRICE in the Microsoft store (with ODST and Reach included too)

    I would, but I just sold my Halo games other than Reach and ODST to put towards the Master Chief collection :(

    Well technically if they bundled Halo reach and Halo 3 ODST it wouldn't be the complete master chief collection as the chief isn't the main character in those games. He is in a cryotube as an Easter egg in Reach and you can have his voice for firefight and
    that really about it.
