Halo Infinite Sign-In (PC) unable to switch microsoft accounts.

Hi! When I first installed the game I signed into my second Xbox account, which is my main computer account, so that I could cross play while my friend played on my Xbox. It was fine and dandy until I tried to switch the accounts back, and lets just say that I am struggling to get anything to work. At this point I have tried everything on the internet available to me and nothing seems to be working. Here's my situation and what I have done so far to try and troubleshoot:

It autologs me into the account. I signed out on the game, signed out of the game bar, xbox app, and store with the wrong account and re signed into those with the correct one, then I pressed ENTER to load the game back up. On the YT videos I've watched, this pulls up a "sign in" box. This has eluded me. Instead it takes me back into the game with the second account loaded and ready to go. With a big, fat, "The Microsoft Store user is not the same as the logged in Xbox live user. You will not be able to make any real money purchases unless you sign into the Microsoft store with the same user."

Nothing I do seems to fix this, no matter how many times I re-sign out and sign back in. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. It also seems to have this issue with MCC for whatever reason even though I never signed into my second account on that game. I really want to fix it too because I just got the BP and my PC makes the game run way smoother than my OG Xbox one. Any help is greatly appreciated

Hey, have you found a fix? Also, are you restarting your PC after signing out of everything? I have signed out of everything I have access to, and performed a shutdown on my PC. I then checked my tag on Xbox, it said I was "online," and active in the Halo Menu. It doesn't show my gamertag as offline until I power on my PC pass POST and showing the login screen. I hope this info helps if you are still troubleshooting for a fix.

You’re insane to think this is a remotely feasible solution. I have the same issue.

Your suggestion is to have the user log out of their computer to log in with the game account. So what youre alluding to is that, even though you have a sign out feature in the game, you’re secretly connecting the game login with the computer login. So sign out actually doesnt work, and is just a back button to the main menu screen. In order to actually sign out, the user needs to log off their computer to switch accounts.

This is a broken feature in your game and computer platform. Take responsibility and fix it. Microsoft invented the OS, please use your 1,000 years of collective LogIn skills to build a functional login system in your first free to play game.

I am having the same issue as above. I am able to log in on my main gaming account, but that is not my main Microsoft account as I have kept those separate. I have signed in locally to try to stop my personal email from being used for sign-in as opposed to my gaming email. I have removed all auto-sign-ins from the computer to avoid any automatic sign-in happening outside of the game as well. Using the Xbox App, I am signed into my gaming account and also through the Microsoft Store. No matter what I have done, when I choose Sign Out, it takes me back to the loading screen. When pressing Enter, the game should load a login window, but it does not. It repeats the error message that the store account does not match the game account. I have deleted the App, deleted the game, and tried reinstall on both multiple times. I have gone through Apps and Terminated, Repaired, Reset and still no fix. I have tried to flip using Steam and it is seamless. This is 100% keeping me from renewing my Ultimate Game Pass that I have had over the past year. Thank you for the future work to fix this issue.
