Halo: Infinite Preview is about 9.0 for me on the excitement scale.

If I can sum it up in a few words I say, it's has the nostalgic halo look and feel to it, but it's a fresh experience due how weapons, vehicles, and pick up work and interact within the sandbox. I've never once had to question myself as to why a certain ability like the grapple hook works the way it does in the sandbox because it just make sense. This beta felt like a game that was well thought out by 343 and will be very polished by the time of launch. It's shaping up to be the gem that halo: combat evolved was for the original xbox.

if halo 5 is anything to go by then it will be a disaster, adding a grappling hook into a story arc that has never had one before is just daft. splitting the game into 2 with multiplayer being free and the campaign to purchase is asking for trouble, every game that has gone free to play has become a toxic cesspool and is horrid, will most likely end up with micro transactions galore.

Also the fact that coop play will not be ready until next year for the campaign has just completely killed what little interest I had.

the days of descent halo games ended when the partnership with bungie ended.

Comparing this abomination with the original is sacrilege.

And before it was on the original Xbox it came out on PC and then they stopped selling on PC to make it a console exclusive, so the gem you are on about was originally a PC game.

Any gamer should be! I'm more excited to hear about Halo Infinite and Cyberpunk, but E3 is always full of surprises!
