Halo Infinite launches in Task Manager but won't open a Window

Since the Beta, the game has refused to launch through the Game Pass. I got around this by using the steam version to play Multiplayer since it was free, but now that the Campaign can only be accessed through the Gamepass on the Xbox game app. The problem is after launching it, the only thing that happens is Halo infinite appears in the task manager, but nothing else.

Please if anyone can help, I would greately appreciate it.

I have tried multiple generic solutions but none of them have worked.

Have you been able to find a solution? I am having this exact same problem and I have tried everything I can think of.

Yeah, and it saves them on QA (compatibility) testing, by not having to debug/fix issues outside of the minimum spec. Whereas Steam doesn't actually develop or service the games themselves, so they don't care.

yeah i figure that much because i can run the game fine on my laptop from 2018 with a i7 9th gen, but you cant with my i7 970 from 2010 it sucks I was trying to wait until the end of 2022 to upgrade but it looks like I have to do it now, this is the 3rd game that wouldn't work because I have a very old CPU

I think they don't let people with older processors play the game , even though on steam I can play in 4k high settings in MP ... I think people with really old processors even if powerful they don't let the game run at all ..... but steam I don't think have this restriction.

I think you nailed it here. I also have an older CPU (2010 or 2011 I believe): Intel Core i7 CPU 960 @ 3.20GHz - and everything else is good; 16GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1070, SSDs, etc. I can play all recent games fine (including Halo Infinite MP on Steam!)

Something about the gamepass boot up process is either checking for min specs (CPU) or not accounting for our CPUs somehow (the way Steam does). And it really sucks particularly because if Steam can launch it fine, it's not a technical limitation at all with the game/executable.

PLEASE FIX THIS MICROSOFT!

I doubt this is a 343 problem since it worked fine on steam. I assume it's Microsoft preventing the game from launching due to hardware restrictions. In the past I bought Halo Wars 2 on the Microsoft store but it wouldn't let me install it due to not meeting minimum requirements (even though I clearly did). I have 16gb DDR3 Ram and an AMD FX6350 CPU so the xbox app may not allow it to launch unless I upgrade
