Halo Infinite doesnt run well

the game has had recent updates that have made the game more difficult to run, my youngest son has the 980 and that will start infinite but needs to run the game on lowest settings with async turned off and even then run like trash.

How about your other Xbox games, do they run smoothly?

You could also try to verify and repair your game files:
Open the Xbox app for Windows.
In My Library, select the game title.
Select the More options (…) button and choose Manage.
Select Files and then Verify and repair.

If you have a 3rd party antivirus software installed, try to disable it temporarily.

you need a gpu that has 4GB vram minimum, you need it to be a gtx 1060 or above or amd equivalent, what specs of pc do you have.

I have a 980ti it has enough ram and it should run i recently replaced my 1050ti with it. It should be able to run the game becuase the friend that gave it to me used this card to play infinite. I was also able to run the game with the 1050ti just not well

cpu: Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor 3.20 GHz

ram: 32gb

I did manage to get halo infinite campaign installed but now whenever i try to open halo infinite it opens up the Microsoft Store's Gaming Services page instead. I am on game pass on PC. Ive tried reinstalling the xbox app but it still doesnt work.
