Halo Infinite Cannot Launch

I am trying to play Halo Infinite on my PC. I played the free multiplayer beta on Steam before the full game was released. Yesterday after the full release I uninstalled the game from Steam and removed it from my steam games library. I then bought the XBOX PC game pass and installed Infinite on my PC. When I click the 'Play' button in the XBOX app on my PC, nothing happens. No text box shows up on screen to indicate an error. However, there is an error that I've found using the Event Viewer application. I’ve attached the text below. This same error consistently shows up when I try to play the game. So far I've tried all these solutions which have not worked. Note that I've restarted my laptop every time after each of these steps but it didn't help. Here is what I've tried:

- uninstalling and re installing gaming services including the registry files: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]

and

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]

- uninstalling and reinstalling gaming services using the command in powershell

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

- uninstalling and re installing Infinite on my PC

- updating windows (it is up to date, I am running Windows 11)

- I have the latest gaming drivers from NVIDIA

- I have the hardware requirements to run the game (MSI GS65 Stealth 9SE)

- In the services app, I set the startup type fpr the IP Helper, Gaming Services, Xbox Live Auth Manager, Xbox Live Game Save, and Xbox Live Networking Service to Automatic

- checked for corrupted system files (sfc/ scannow) and nothing was found in the Windows 11 files.

- Ran wsreset.exe as an admin

- 'repair' and 'reset' each of the following apps: Xbox, Microsoft Store, Halo Infinite, Gaming Services.

I also contacted Halo support, Xbox support, and Microsoft support, and neither of them found the solution to this. Please help me get rid of this issue.

Doesn't this mean you have to pay for the game on steam AND xbox though?

Dumping this here to show that many people have this problem and maybe one of these threads will get an actual developer's attention.

A solution that worked for me is downloading the game through Steam, and the Xbox App. Then launching the game through Steam to verify it launches and closing then closing the game. After that I launched the game through the Xbox app, it worked just fine after that. I have no idea why this worked for me, but it did. A small solution hopefully that works for you and others too.

No, the multiplayer is free. That's all you have to download. Once you do that just download the campaign on whatever store you bought it through.
