Halo Crashing (Kernelbase.dll exception code 0xe3430009

I tried to play Halo Infinite for the first time in a month or two and it is randomly crashing. Sometimes it will crash in the menu before I start a game, other times I will get through a game before it crashes. I've had this crash in the past but it is more common now to the point the game in unplayable.

I did a clean install of Windows 10. I have tried repair and reset of Halo and the Xbox app. I verified files/install of Halo within the Xbox app. Async is already turned off in the game settings. I was going to try and turn down the graphics settings, but the game crashed in the video settings menu before I was able to, so it seems unlikely to me to be the GPU overloaded.

Windows is up to date, build 22H2. GPU is an NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti. I don't have CPU or GPU overclocked, I haven't gone in the BIOS and changed anything or installed SW to adjust those settings.

I just tried installing a second instance of Halo through Steam, instead of the Xbox app, and it crashed immediately after it had me sign into Xbox within the Halo app. Maybe it is a coincidence, or maybe there is something about my Xbox profile and Halo settings that are syncing. Open to any troubleshooting suggestions.

Edit: I guess that was a coincidence. I signed out, and was going to try and sign in with a new Xbox account and it crashed after I had signed out.

After trying all the troubleshooting steps I could find on existing posts, I found a suggestion to disable game mode, and it worked, for a while.

Issue is happening less often but still happens. Same exception code.

I installed Halo Infinite Multiplayer from the Microsoft Store and it crashed in the Launch process.

Hello,

I suggest you take a look at this thread with a similar issue. It's not a Halo question, but KERNELBASE.dll is a file stored in the System folder of the Windows Operating System which is used to launch many Windows applications.
