Halo Collection - 20GB Day One Patch

destiny could have been better, yes. which is why i'm waiting for the halo collection...

 

They could have helped the issues by releasing the 20GB download before the game actually comes out. Like put it on the store or something so people can select it if they want.

 

It's already set to pre download ut only if you have already installed from the digital pre order.

 

someone, I think it was rage. I could be wrong said on another website that downloading the patch prematurely would unlock the game before the 11th. they're probably right. still sucks as I want to be ready to play halo 2 MP when the clock strikes midnight....

 

if you have the game already download then you can get the patch ahead of time.

 

hmmm.... i'm seeing references here and there to the effect that the patch may be released tomorrow. would be nice if that were true.

 

I just pre-ordered the digital version last night. I was expecting it to take awhile, so I just did the pre-order and then started playing Destiny.

After about a 5 hour session, I quit Destiny and decided to check the DL progress before I went to bed and it was fully downloaded already. I know that DL's will happen in the background, even when you're playing another game online, but I really expected
it to take a lot longer than that.

At least I'm pretty sure it's fully downloaded... it's no longer in the DL que. It's listed in my games... and BTW, it is listed as being 2 parts, so I'm assuming that the larger icon is the game itself and the smaller icon (which is also the smaller file
size) is the update. Fingers crossed that everything went the way it is supposed to.

 

The two parts are the game itself and the Boom skull pre-order bonus I think. Pretty mine has always been two parts, but the update is out today so you could have it already.

 

Now I'm reading it's been reduced to 15GB

 

@ Nemesis, thanks. I did double check it last night and it is the game and the pre-order bonus skull. Hopefully the update will DL soon.

 

It's 15 GB.

Disconnect your XBox ONE from the internet and load your disc.

Then when that's finished, fire it up and it will prompt you for the 15GB patch.

Best thing to do is go make a cup of tea, watch some telly or otherwise distract yourself and it will download in no time.
