Halo 5 Preorder was not able to get xbox reward event credits or $10 credits.

As the title states, I was unable to receive xbox reward credits for participating in pre-ordering halo 5: guardians (disc version). I ordered on 1/2/2015, [mod removed]

I've talked to numerous people about this issue, and a few helped me out. Since I believe in microsoft I stuck with this, if it was any other company I would say screw it. I won't buy anything from them again and stick to amazon. Please refer to following
case #s for any details.

I think the problem was because I had two concurrent subscriptions on the same account for some reason (was later reimbursed) it might have *** things up?

Pre-Order Digital Versions?

Can't order disc and ask for digital later. Sony doesn't even do that.

If you preorder a disc you are getting a disc. You can sign up for xbox live rewards through xbox.com with your xbox live profile (you can create one before owning an xbox, and not have gold or anything either) and then setup your rewards profile.

When you preorder digital games that offer 10$ credit to your account for preordering, just have to use the same email you used with your rewards account.

Sounds complicated but it's not. You can get your games and get some rewards for the preorder, including the credit for more digital games / dlc.

If you preorder a game as a physical disc from microsoftstore.com you can receive a $10 gift code. If you are a rewards member, you will receive 15,000 credits instead of the $10 code. The credits should show as pending about 10-15 business days after the
game shipped.

If you preordered Gears 4 digitally, it had to be preordered before October 1 in order to qualify for the credits. If you did, support will check into your credits and post back here.

After communicating with our partner for this offer, it unfortunately looks like these codes are currently limited to one redemption per account. Since this is not pointed out in the FAQ, we will manually adjust the retail value (18.30 USD) of these bundles
into your Rewards account as Rewards Credits. We will adjust 5 separate Credit events into your account to reflect the 5 bundles you cannot claim into your Smite account. These Credit events will be labeled as MyVIP 5 Star Gold events dated as the end of last

Rewards support will have to look into it.

Gears credits would depend on when you preordered it and if it was preordered digitally or physically.

The Rewards program is running an offer to receive 15,000 credits if you preorder a game from microsoftstore.com. So you would receive 15,000 credits instead of the $10 gift card from microsoftstore.com.
