Finished Halo 3, which Halo next?

Halo 4 is the best game after Halo 3. I personally think Halo 4 is the best Halo game created. Just my opinion.

Hmm, that sounds suspiciously like someone who isn't in a position to comment. Halo:Reach is (for me) the best Halo campaign out of them all and with Halo 4, 343 knocked it out of the park and came up with a campaign almost as good as Reach (if a little too short) and a fantastic multiplayer. They also did what Bungie wouldn't and made the core gameplay much more modern feeling.

Bungie are a good dev but they're not as good as some make out, especially with technology - Halo 4 was the best looking game of the last generation for me and I'm certain there's no way Bungie would have produced something as impressive graphically.Click to expand...

Agreed Halo Reach was a decent game and was probably my fave campaign (I didn't play Halo 4 though so can't comment on that one).

Bungie at their best are very innovative, but like you say, they are probably not the best when it comes to production values. The new Halo game could be a very impressive XB1 title and it may well have production values far higher than it would have done had Bungie produced it. Will it be as innovative however? I'm not too sure. I guess that it will be interesting to see what they come up with on the Destiny front compared to what 343 do with XB1 Halo.

H4 is the best Halo but I don't think its the best video game ever made IMO. There are plenty of people are still playing this game. I play mostly heavies and Big Team. Almost always have a full room in each game.

I still have a lot of love for Halo 3 that's for sure. Still truly love that game especially the 4 player co-op campaign. I miss the scarabs, grunts, and English speaking enemies from Halo 3. Hopefully they bring some of those back for the next Halo.

Halo 4 sucks compared to previous Halo titles.

We have lag, custom classes, boltshots and stickies and PP's in the loadouts, along with OP light rifles and AR's. Then we have aim assist and bullet magnetism. And don't get me started on the bad game mechanics...

Oh and did I mention it lags horribly?

You get my point. Some of the ideas in halo 4 had good potential, 343i just stuffed up when implementing every single one of them.

It's that these Halo 4 reviewers might not have been the ones to review the past Halo games, so those old ratings aren't necessarily their opinion. They could have personally rated past games lower than they rate Halo 4, making Halo 4 the best yet for them.
Unless you find a reviewer that has rated Halo 4 and a past Halo game that says Halo 4 is the best, yet rated the other game higher, then there is nothing wrong with a reviewer saying that it's the best, because that single reviewer didn't rate any of the
others higher. Now, if you can find a reviewer that contradicts their own past rating, then there's a problem.
