Hair trigger button rubber sleeve keeps coming off

hi there,

I bought an series 2 elite controller 7 months ago and its been amazing... no problems with anything on the controller until 4 days ago when the rubber sleeves on the hair trigger locks both came off.

I do use them quite a bit from on fully when playing cod to off completely when playing games like fifa. As the controller was bought used from ebay I think the warrenty has expired. I have tryied gorilla glue epoxy but after a few uses they come loose again.
Was looking to see if anyone knew if xbox would fix/replace as this is such a poor designe flaw on what is an amazing but pricey bit of hardware. Or if anyone could suggest a better glue as was staying away from supper glue as it will turn the black plastic
white.

And is this a common problem? as it is near £150 worth of controller and such a poor design flaw on what is a beast of a controller.

Registered my controller 10 minutes ago and it is in warranty till December this year but am not able to talk to a customer support person to see what options there are?

Will try adding serial number again as when I checked this a few days ago it couldn't find the device. Assumed that meant it was out of warranty but I may have just put it in wrong. The gorilla super glue is what I thought might be a good shout but whilst
looking in to different glues and what they glue together I couldn't find a comprehensive awnser.

I have had this problem and after research on reddit and other forums I have found that this is common for the elite 2's. Like the grips peeling off on the elite 1.

If you bought from Microsoft you should have had 90 days warranty so I would contact support.

If bought from a store e.g. gamestop in the US or Game in the UK i would take it back with proof of purchase as this is a manufacturer problem

Since the controller was bought second hand, it could be possible the previous owner still has the controller register to his account. I believe you can only have a controller registered to one account.

Update on my issue, couldn't get replaced due to purchasing second hand but thanks to ACDH advice tried gorilla glue gel amd must say that stuff is amazing. The tiniest of bits and fell like there screwd on. No mosting to the plastic... brilliant stuff 👌👍
if anyone has had this issue its definitely the stuff to use.
