I guess I didn't explain clearly. I do understand what factory restore means. What I am saying is that once I had signed into the Xbox app, only some of the games that I had installed previously showed up to re-install. Some say that they are no longer available, for some reason, even though I was playing them earlier the same day.

I had to do a factory reset I moved 8 games to external all fine but 6 games still showed on internal but it showed 0% usage after the factory reset games on external were still installed but had to install DLC apps and reset setting every thing fine

it's really bizarre as the games didn't show up on the home screen to start with then bit by bit they appeared. it was as if the Xbox had factory reset . my account was on screen and I could access the store. fifa 18 has finished installing and all my saved
games are still working.

i reset my xbox to factory setting and kept my games and apps, and i also changed my location to australia while doing this, now the games arent even showing up on the list of games installed, although my memory on the hard drive is showing 58% used....
