Had anyone destroyed the extraction ship?

I've tried but never seen it done.

New Escort Objective Details

From Reddit - "Played a round at the bioware base. We did escort twice and here's what I've gathered. Basically its a lot like lost package delivery, except your whole squad escorts a probe to the extraction zone. You have to stand near the probe in order
for the probe to move. I think that if more of your team that stands in the circle of the probe's radius, the faster it moves toward the extraction zone. But I'm not sure about that one. It could be just one person needs to stand in the circle and the probe
moves at a consistent rate no matter how many of your squad is in the probes radius. Can Anyone at the con confirm? So it's get in the circle around the prob and follow it to the extraction zone. I don't think you have to worry about the probe being destroyed
by enemies. We had some banshees on us but they didn't mess with the probe, just.... us.I also think its self guiding. For you guys that are playing it at the con, please correct me if I'm mistaken. Cheers!"

 

Priority targets and Strategery

Same here. I have several people I can group up with and beat it on gold. We do have some rough rounds here in there but also some incredible rounds. Had a gold game yesterday and we were down to the extraction wave. 1 minute left, 2 of us die leaving
2 others cloaking and running for their lives out of the extraction. 10 seconds left and running toward the extraction, one of the players goes down after taking a rocket to the back. The other player runs back, revies that player, and both make it to the
very edge of the extraction circle with 0 seconds left and get the extraction points. We were roaring with excitement and laughing our butts off. Had several extractions like that. Just so intense and so incredible.

 

I've been on teams that have managed it twice; once in beta, once in release. It takes a lot of Titan firepower from the moment it arrives to bring one down.

 

Seems to get easier as your rank goes up. Especially if there are 3-4 titans attacking it.

 

I've only done it once in beta.

 

My team and I were able to do it last night during the Campaign.

 

Yeah I've seen it done a few times in the game

 

It definitely has to be a team effort. No 1 pilot or titan can do it on their own.

I've seen it happen several times in beta, and full release.

Do not forget that if you are not in your titan, your anti-titan weapon can do significant damage as well. (Even the archer can lock on to it, just as if it were a titan)

 

We did it last night, but we also had 4 Titans left, and we were all focused on killing it. Not an easy task though.

 

I've been a part of destroying the ship a couple times.

Fyrbreak already noted the best tip which is using your anti-titan weapon against the evac ship if you're not in a Titan.

 

I have done it a few times. But unless the entire team turns their focus to it, it's really hard to take it out.

 

Why take it out? Do you get some XP or something, or are you guys just wasting ammo because you dont have to pay for it or police the brass?

 

You get XP for destroying the ship.

The ending of each match is like a new game within the game. If you were defeated in the match - run to the evacuation ship (gains extra XP if you evacuate). If you won the match - stop the losing team from evacuating (gains XP from killing pilots or taking
out the ship).
