Hacker Attempt steals my IP after Booting me off of game

So there was this player that i ran into when i was playing a game called Dead By Daylight. For those who do not know what that game is it is a game where Killers from horror movies attempt to kill all Survivors Before they find a way out. Well i was using
this awesome camp strategy with a invisible killer when all the sudden my game crashed kind of? and i thought it was my internet at first until i got a message saying "Camp=Boot" and also right after that "Adrian must be nice this time of year". I do not live
in Adrian but i do live awfully close to it and then of course i was raged at the fact someone got so mad in a game they decide to hack me off the game and hack my location witch is super illegal. Of course the things i said ended up getting me suspended for
a day from Xbox Live but i don't care about the punishment i am worried that someone like this gets away with hacking the way he did to me so if i can get any assistance on what i can do to get this guy punished for his actions that would be lovely. Also i
have Pictures of what he said as proof that he admitted to hacking my game and IP and i also have his account username as well

I’ve been booted off a couple of times but you can’t really do much. The best thing you can do is to report the person and maybe warn others about this person. But you’re right pulling ip addresses is very illegal and you can serve some serious jail time

They cant steal your ip that not how the internet works

Unless you buy a dedicated static ip from your isp which is costly

You dont own an ip

It is automatically assigned to you based on your geoip and the local dhcp lease

Even if he knocks you off his ip wouldnt change to yours even if he diaconnects

It wiuld onlynassign him anothrr from his dhcp

Report the player on xbox live, and maybe contact your ISP about this hacker.

What should I do if I think I've been attacked?

If you think that your Xbox console or computer has experienced a DoS or DDoS attack, do the following:

Reset your Internet router.
Contact your ISP.
If you are certain of the identity of the DoS or DDoS attacker:
- Contact the attacker’s ISP.
- File a complaint against the player with Xbox Live. Select the "tampering" category on the complaint form.
Avoid that individual on Xbox Live in the future.

If they are DoS/DDoS attacking you, then you should also report this to your ISP as in most Countries this is a criminal offence.
