    Hacked Gametag


    My Microsoft account was hacked about 30 days ago and the hacker put in for gametag change. I was able to block my account and block the gamtag change charge. I called Xbox and they stated that my gametag was the not changed and was fine. Due to the blocking of my account it had to stay dormant for 30 days to get it restored. Once it was resorted all was back to normal except for my Xbox gametag. It was changed by Microsoft to a new one. I have had many calls with Xbox support trying to get my old gametag back due to it being taken illegally. The old gametag is a dormant state and not being used. The Xbox support team tells me they cannot get it back due to company policy. I find this an unacceptable answer due to my gametag being taken illegally and it is not be used by anyone else. I need help in were to turn to get my gametag back.

    Not from here. We're just fellow gamers here. You'd have to contact support again and see if they can escalate it.
