    My account was recently hacked and the email and password were changed. I filled out the account recovery form on Wednesday and have had extensive phone calls and submitted tons of proof showing ownership of the account. However, I realized today that the gamer tag of the account was changed by the hackers. I am worried about this and am wondering if this will be a big deal in getting my account back, as I listed the previous gamer tag of the account when I filled out the recovery form.

    Hello Daniel,

    With resetting your password/account recovery it needs to be done by you. Support is unable to provide any information if you cant verify the account. If you have forgot the details it is up to you to fill out the recovery form to recover the account. You
    can fill out the form as many times as you like. Make sure you are putting the correct name, birthdate, console id gamer tag. The console ID will be the console the gamer tag was on last. So if it wasn't on your newest console don't use that one. The ID has
    to be the console the account was last signed in on.

    You can fill out the account recovery form as suggested. How do you know it's hacked and just not a forgotten password or sign in info ?

    Hello Peter, I would like to clarify that, unfortunately, a gamertag is not enough proof of account ownership.

    If you’re not able to fill out the account recovery form, I’m afraid to say that it is not possible to get the account back.
