GTA Vice City Definitive Edition won’t install.

Oh my god dude, you are a savior! Thank you so much! I was grateful and played the San Andreas DE that came onto Game Pass, waited patiently for Vice City, still hasn't happened, so Vice City was the only reason I bought this and of course, it was the only one of the three that gave me any issue installing.

I'm guessing this method gives you the "Upgraded" version that it kept mentioning to me as I tried to just install the base version of Vice City DE?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware then try installing the game again.

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

It works.

I figured a work around to this!!!! I have been having the same issue, installations keep stopping except for San Andreas. I was on the phone with Microsoft for an hour trying EVERYTHING, resets, unplugging external HD's, downloading through the app and nothing. Finally today, I got it to download. This is what I did. (Keep in mind I have the actual physical disc version, not digital. It may not work for you if you have the digital version.)

I first highlighted the game and hit the two overlapping square button on my controller and brought up the manage game menu. I then hit Uninstall All. (Don't know how anything was installed but whatever. I then hit the See in Microsoft Store button. Once there, I then hit the Install (you can play this) button. And ¡voila! Downloaded and installed with no issues whatsoever. I did this for both III and Vice City.

I hope this helps anyone who is having this same issue as it is super frustrating!!
