GTA V Online not working

Hi, I recently downloaded GTA V from Xbox Gamepass (Ultimate if that matters), but when I select to play "Online" it pops up with an alert and says "Files required to play GTA Online could not be downloaded from the Rockstar Games Service. Please return to Grand Theft Auto V and try again later. Its been saying this for ages (I'm on a Series X if that helps at all)

I got the GTA V it includes GTA v and GTA V online with criminal enterprise starter pack and I cant play GTA online idk what's going on with that do u have to get game pass for it.

no doubt, i will start GTA V once Online launches. i have refrained from GTA V when i got it on launch, but come Oct 1st...going to start GTA V Online

GTA V's multiplayer, GTA Online will be available 2 weeks after GTA V is released via a free code.

the reason i got GTA V was the Online expansion, and upon hearing about being able to customize your Online Character. was the deal maker for me...if GTA V was just SP ~ i would have not gotten GTA V.
