GTA V Enhanced, keeps installing last gen version

Hi WIlly,

I think I've figured it out.

There isn't separate Xbox Series X|S versions of Storey Mode and Online. The enhanced version is all in GTA Online.

This stumped me as I had no intention of playing GTA Online so chose to download it last but GTA V kept showing as normal version.

If you download GTA Online you can access the X|S story mode from there

I'm having the exact same problem.

I have purchased a bundle with Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V: Story Mode (Xbox Series X|S)

I've logged in on my Xbox Series X and it is downloading the normal version of Grand Theft Auto and not the Xbox Series X|S version.

I've deleted all data and it is still downloading the normal version. I've even logged in on XBOX online and tried installing remotely but still no joy.

So, did you purchased only the GTA V X/S version. Right?

If that's the case you're not able to play the Xbox one version, this is due to GTA V is not compatible with smart delivery (this choice is taken by developer)

If you purchased both Xbox one and Series X/S versions, please double check this on your Microsoft account order history

Hi. I wasnt able to download the premium version but i was able to download the next gen online version. But now i have 2 gta v's downloaded. The full game and just the gta v online for next gen xbox.

The only way that I'd even consider purchasing GTA V for the Xbox One is if retail companies offered you the ability to trade in your last gen version for the current gen one, of course paying a bit on top of it.
