    GTA V disc will not play because the disc cannot be read


    My xbox keeps saying that my GTA V disc (and no other games) is unreadable. I even tried using my friends disc and it still won't work. I have also previously played GTA V on this console

    Moving GTA 5 game play disc to USB? How?

    Can I still install the GTA V play disc to the USB even if the play disc cant be read on the xbox or its all scratched up?

    GTA V disc will not play because the disc cannot be read

    Try these steps:

    Check the disc for damage. If your disc has been severely scratched or scuffed, it could cause your game to freeze up. Hold the disc under a bright light, checking for even the smallest of scratches. If you notice a few scratches, try loading a different
    game. If the Xbox 360 doesn't freeze, you'll know the damaged disk was the problem.

    Clear your hard drive's cache. There may be excess data which is causing your system to lock up. Clear the cache by pressing these buttons in order: # On the Xbox 360 controller, press the following items in this sequence:X, X, Left bumper, Right bumper,
    X, X. A message will pop up asking if you are sure you want to perform the system maintenance. Press A to continue.

    Disconnect from the Internet. If your Internet connection is experiencing heavy traffic, it might be affecting your game. Try unplugging your cord (or adapter) and then restart your Xbox 360.

    My xbox will hardly ever read my GTA V disc if it has been turned off or restarts. No matter how many times i eject and retry with the disc it says it cannot read it. It only finally works after a number of hard shutdowns and reboots and even then you have to be lucky. Otherwise there is no issues with any other discs as far as i am aware. Anybody know why? Surely if the disc was damaged it wouldn’t ever read? And it isn’t dirty...
