Gta V digital Version wont launch/play offline.

I have read several places that you can play gta v offline, but either when im playing and my internet goes out and i can only play for 10 more minutes as the message says or i dont have internet to begin with and it wont launch period. im not sure what
to do about this, as i bought it and i cant play it without internet.

Hi there.

The digital version of GTA V comes in two downloads. Once you download the first part off the marketplace and launch the game, the second part will begin to download. GTA V is a very large game. The second download is totally normal.

 

Xbox 360 to Xbox One

So if I had bought the digital of a game for my Xbox 360, for example GTA V, can I then redownload that same purchase onto my Xbox One, or must I buy a whole new digital version GTA V just for my Xbox One?

 

I've heard (Not 100% sure of this though) that almost all digital downloaded games require a active internet connection to play. Only physical copies seem to allow offline play... So sadly, you have two options...

Option A: Try to ensure you have a stable and reliable internet service

Or

Option B: Get a physical copy.

Probably not what you wanted to hear... but I have tried to play a digital copy of Just Cause 2 offline and had the same problem. When I got a physical copy, worked ONline AND OFFline just fine.

 

Is the console you are trying to play the game on offline the first console you downloaded the game to originally?

It is not only this game either....

 

hmmm...the digital download should be tied to your gamertag so as long as you're signed in (not necessarily to the internet but the console) or as KLR says it's the console you downloaded it to you should be ok. Just to be sure something isn't going on
