    gta v corrupt data or missing files


    Hi.. my son has just purchased gta v.. when he tries to play it during loading thee game it comes up with ALERT corrupt data or missing files... click A to download files... I have tried this but it just constantly says downloading.. the file says its only
    7. something gb but actually supposed to be 16gb. I'm not very good with this kind of thing so don't know how to deal with it. Any help would be much appreciated from you. Thankyou.

    G'day Titanic! Sorry to hear the troubles with your downloaded game, let's see how we can clear this up.

    Have you ever experienced this issue with another downloaded game?

    Let's check the GTA V folder in your console's hard drive for any corrupt data (marked with a yellow "!") in Settings > System > Storage, and do the following:

    • If you see any corrupt files, delete them.
    • Delete the game's file.
    • Clear the cache and restart your console.
    • Download GTA V again and launch.

    Give those steps a shot and let us know how it goes, and we'll continue from there!

    Can't Download GTA V Update

    If that fails, please also check the GTA V game folder, which is location at settings - system - storage - select storage device - Games - GTA V to be sure no corrupt or incomplete files are present. If they are present please delete those.

    After that clear cache, and restart console and try to download the update.

    Could be the same issue, data pack missing or corrupted files, you could try clearing the local data and reinstall the campaign packs

    The error code is due to an improper file missing. It's possible the data corrupted. Uninstall. Clear cache. Reinstall.
