    GTA Trilogy disc installation problems.


    I tried to install from disc onto my Series X, but after it told me that the games had an upgrade, and needed to install on the internal storage drive, the installation kept stopping.

    I tried to install it on my kid's Series X, and same thing.

    So I went offline on my console, and let the games install to the internal storage, which went fine.

    Then, when I went back online to update the games, I got an error that said, "You need this update, but we can't get it right now. Try again in a while. (0x8b050033)" I got this error with GTA 3, and Vice City. San Andreas updated fine.

    I uninstalled a couple of random games, and reinstalled them with updates without any problems....

    It seems the issue is just with GTA 3 and Vice City. Anyone have any ideas?

    I have a solution, I was having trouble downloading f1 2018 but theres a fix for the update error when downloading the games to your console, Cancel it. Then use the Xbox app on your phone or tablet then click on the game and click download to console.

    A doft reset night help!

    The first step in resetting an Xbox is to open the main menu. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:

    Press the home button on your Xbox controller. This is the illuminated button with a stylized X that is centrally located on the front of the controller near the top.

    Alternately, you can press the left bumper until you reach the home tab, and then press left on the d-pad.

    Press down on the d-pad until you reach the gear icon.

    Press the A button to select the gear icon.

    With all settings highlighted, press the A button again to open the settings menu.

    Press down on the d-pad until you reach System.

    Press the A button to open the ​System submenu.

    With console info highlighted, press the A button again.

    Press down on the d-pad to select reset console.

    Press the A button to select this option and move to the final step.

    Press left on the d-pad to select Reset and keep my games & apps. Then press the A button. This is the less thorough of the two options, as it only resets the Xbox firmware and settings without touching your games and apps. Try this first, as it allows you to avoid downloading everything all over again.

    I am in the exact situation, only San Andreas has downloaded the upgrade for series x but cannot play the other two games!

    I forgot to mention, this is the Definitive Edition.
