GTA steal 5 cars Game Pass Quest not working on

I like how for quests that are specific for a game you don't have to unlock achievements. For example gta 5 and borderlands 2 have you steal 35 cars and shoot 25 enemies. Since I have most achievements unlocked for both games, both gamepass quests can
still be finished even if you have 100% game completion.

Thought stealing cars was all part of the game ?

New quests are amazingly detailed. Steal 35 cars in GTA V, yes please! I just won't do the ones that are related to the app because I don't want to put another app on my phone.

Does that quest mean steal 35 cars from other players in multiplayer? Or literally from any PC in the game that's in the car?

I tried this for several hours last week in Online and Campaign mode and it didn't work for me either even after stealing 40 cars in Campaign mode. I'm a bit annoyed that the description of the quest wasn't more specific about how to complete the
task because I really don't like wasting many hours of my time on something that doesn't work!

Yeah this task of "stealing cars to earn points" is confused and stupid. I play as trevor and steal few cars. I still have 11 points of stealing cars. This really need to be fix.
