    GTA Online Cash Cards not received in XBox One account - cannot get help from Microsoft...


    My son made 2 purchases of cash cards in GTA on his XBox one that haven't shown on his account.

    These were purchased on 1st January and I've been trying for weeks to contact Microsoft via Live Chat/Call Back but failed every time! Each time I request a call back it just states there has been an error and to try again. It's getting beyond a joke that I can't communicate with anybody so thought I'd try posting to the community in case anyone can help. I've tried everything it advises in the self help sections.

    The first purchase was for 'GTA Online: Great White Shark Cash Card (Xbox Series X|S)' @ £11.99 and the other for 'GTA Online: Bull Shark Cash Card (Xbox Series X|S)' @ £5.99, not huge sums to lose I appreciate but it's the principle of paying for something that we haven't received!

    Looking at the purchase receipt, it does state that they are for series X/S but my son has an Xbox One so may be a compatibility issue.

    I'd just like to arrange for these transactions to be reversed if anyone can help point me in the right direction?

    That is definitely the issue. As far as I am aware, the shark cards for the series X/S will only work with the Series X/S version of the game.

    We understand that you're trying to reverse a charge that was incurred after your son purchased some GTA Online cash cards in his Xbox One console. Since you did not get the promised cash cards, you'd like to get a refund for them.

    Apparently, you've been unable to contact anyone from Xbox support via phone or chat to process this refund. It seems when you request for a call back you are informed that there's an error and you must try again.

    So, when it comes to refunds no one here in the forums has the ability to process that for you. Anything that involves money is usually not handled here simply because we don't have the tools to do so. At any rate, let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this. But to better assist you I need to ask:

    1) I noticed above that the charges were in pounds (£) and not in dollars ($). So, when you contacted Xbox support did you make sure to use the UK link and not the US one when contacting them using a web browser? Please use the link and photo below for reference.

    2) If you go to Services & subscriptions using a web browser and sign in with the Microsoft account you used to purchase your subscription, do you not see the cash card there? Please try both your son's account and yours just to be sure.

    Thanks for the comprehensive and helpful response.

    I will try support via the link you provided as you may be right that I inadvertently used the support link and that is why it errors.

    I've checked the Services & Subscriptions for both accounts and no cash cards showing.
