GTA 5 Valentine Update

HELP my son is having a meltdown after downloading GTA 5 Valentine Update. As a result he is not able to play GTA 5 on x box live but can play other games on x box live. We spent 2.5 hrs on line with a technician yesterday but they were no good & tried to
blame the internet provider. The internet provider is blaming x box live. We have pulled out the hard drive, deleted update, reconfigured system settings etc We have spent 8 very frustrating hours trying to resolve this & have deleted the update but we still
can't play GTA 5 on live & I have lost faith & patience with it...giving serious consideration to selling x box & getting play station at this point. PLEASE PLEASE advise?

GTA 5 Disc not reading

I had not trouble playing GTA 5 for the past few weeks. Today, I cannot get my Xbox to recognize the play disc. I have tried clearing the cache, playing with no storage attached...etc. My xbox has no problem with any other discs. I don't even get a read
error or unrecognized disc message. It simply does not recognize that a disc is installed. I believe this started after I downloaded the Valentine update however I have since deleted the update and tried with no storage attached. Anyone else have this issue?

well alright I have 2 questions

one has GTA banded him from online play? (this is not xbox)

two now can you delete GTA 5's UPdate and files and see if it will work?

 

So as I understand it from what you've said, he can play other games on Live but not GTA? And he can play the offline portion of GTA too but not the online portion? In that case it really sounds plausible that there is a ban in action against his account,
which would have come from the developers Rockstar (Xbox does not impose game-specific bans). Did he perhaps use a "glitch" or "exploit" or "cheat" recently to quickly get massive sums of money in online? If so, that could possibly be the reason.

Do you happen to have another Xbox Live Gold account? If yes and that account is able to play online from the same console without issue, then there is definitely something up with the specific account.

 

If he cheated, hacked or done anything against the rules, he may have been banned. Rockstar from what I hear, do not warn their users they're banned, instead, if you're lucky, you'll get tossed into a cheater pool of players who have to play against each
other. This of course, does not sound like that. It may be possible he was full on banned.

Have you tried deleting the valentine's day DLC and re-installing it?

 

Its a slight possibility that he has been banned from GTA Online by either cheating or hacking. Best bet is to contact Rockstar Support and figure out if he's been banned or not.

 

one thing when he goes to play gta online does it backs him out to single player then he got banned
