GTA 5 on disc asking if I own the game

I just want to make sure, the label of the disc is showing a label of Xbox One, right? I asked because GTA 5 is not backwards compatible as the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 each had their own releases of the game but if you were able to play that disc on your Xbox One before then that's good. Let's try this.

Let's try this trick and hopefully it will work. However, if in case it still won't read your disc and it's happening to just this particular disc game, looks like the disc needs a replacement.

Go to Settings . Now choose Disc & Blu-Ray.

In the BLU-RAY section select Persistent Storage.

Next, select Clear persistent storage.

Once done, Please insert your game disc half way to your console's disc drive. You will feel that the console is pulling the game disc in. Hold it for about 1 second and then release the game disc.

My game is asking me if i own the app,i have the game pass and i only want to play gta...it is wasting my game pass

gta 5 was removed from gamepass

I own GTA 5 on disc. The loading screen pops up showing my xbox is reading the disc correctly but its sortly changed onto that error code.

yes, i too would like to add unnecessarily that gta 5 will indeed have 2 discs for the xbox 360, the first disc will be an 8 gig install disc and the second disc is the one you will use to play the actual game, as i'm sure the person below me will also confirm
in his or her own wording.

My disc drive failed just after purchasing gta 5. I dont own alot of physical games yet it failed after one year. Day one edition. This is not good enough for the amount of money i paid for it MS. Not happy.
