    Gta 5 downloaded and unable to read disc


    ok so my friend got gta 5 and I was going to re download it but every time I go to play it it says unable to read disc I have never owned gta on disc it was working perfectly fine in till I downloaded install pack 2 now I can't even get it to start without
    saying unable to read disc I have tried to wipe the system cache thank you for your help if you had helped

    gta san andreas says dirty or damaged disc but I bought it from the marketplace

    I downloaded gta san andreas and now its saying the disc Is dirty or damaged it can't be read. .. what should i do

    GTA 5 Unrecognized Disc

    Starting last night 11/6/13 approximately around 4 pm est my Xbox will not read any GTA 5 disc. Status code: 03-57-00. I was playing it fine earlier in the day. Left for an hour, turn console back on and it refuses to read GTA 5. Reads other games fine.
    COD BO 1&2, Forza 4, Battlefield 3 all play just fine. I even went to the lengths of taking my GTA 5 copy over my brothers house to try it on his Xbox. His Xbox read my copy of the game just fine. I took his practically brand new copy of GTA 5 and my Xbox
    still refuses to read it. I've done all disc drive solutions, unplugging accessories, clearing system cache, and even left it completely unplugged from anything overnight. Problem still persists. At this point I'm thinking something is wring with the disc
    reader hardware. My Xbox is one of the original white 360's. My brother has a Xbox 360 slim black version.

    Aqua, can you open a new thread for your issue rather than hijacking mine seeing as how your only input to my problem is "no idea" and your issue is not related to mine?

    actually, my issue is the same as yours, yours is just more in depth then mine my game started working ,after I deleted my play disc instali ,however it happened to me (the redownload error)in the middle of the game in an active multiplayer session both
    our play discs arnt being properly recognized mine partly works yours not at all, so im not TECHNICALLY hijacking anything.

    as to the erro itself, i checked rockstar support I saw no mention of issues like this so they don't know bout it yet or I looked in the wrong place, lets just wait I guess for an official post or something

    we both have the DLC pack and both are having issues with it my money is its on rockstars end though, GTA V has been plagued with code errors from launch

    this issue happened to me once with my fifa 14 disc. I recommended to clean the back of the disc with cloth. If the console doesnt read it then, i dont know whats wrong

    no idea,but I was on gta just now online <both disc 1 and 2 installed> ive had them installed sense launch and had no issues till all of a sudden I get a popup "the game could not be started please redownload and try again" ive reinstalled the disc,same
    error

    NOTE: tried it without disc 2 installed and it ran but as my xbox likes to destroy discs id rather not have it ruin my gta v so any ideas guys?

    EDIT 10 years goin on 11 this august with xbox ive never once had this error

    as I cant re edit my post I figure I should ask as well, should I reinstall the install disc then the play disc<so the playdisc isint actively spinning in the drive after initial reading> or just install the install disc and deal with it?
