    Grounded isn't saving in the right folder


    Hello all,

    I'm trying to put a steam save to play in xbox. I found on the internet a lot of guides saying that Grounded from steam usually saves in the folder Saved Games/Grounded, and the xbox version saves in the folder Save Games/Grounded Windows 10.

    However, my saves from xbox are not saving in that folder and I just can't find it and also can't find where the game is pulling the data from saves.

    I really want to play my save from steam, but the folder that should be there is not there. And I really can't find it anywhere.

    I haven't changed any game config about the save folder.

    Just to be clear. Do you want to run Steam saves on your PC or Xbox?

    WHERE is Astroneer game installed and located, I mean not the save files, the game installation location is unknown? Why Astroneer is not located in the C:\XboxGames root folder?

    According to the PCgamingwiki

    Save data goes here:

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\SystemEraSoftworks.29415440E1269_ftk5pbg2rayv2\SystemAppData\wgs

    If your game isn't in C:\XboxGames folder, it would be in the WindowsApps folder. But that still wouldn't be where your save files ago. In any case, most GamePass games are encrypted. However, save files and config files are not and are located elsewhere.

    If your Minecraft world disappeared, first check for backups or previous versions, then please restore the world manually by navigating to the saves folder and copying the world folder.

    If you have backups enabled (either manually or through a cloud service), look for the most recent backup and restore it.

    And then system restore (Windows). To do this, right-click on the saves folder or the specific world folder.

    Select "Restore previous versions" to recover an earlier version of the folder.

    Next is to check the Saves Folder by navigating to the saves folder on your device. For Windows, go to %appdata%\.minecraft\saves.

    See if your world folder is still there. If it is, there might have been a corruption issue.

    1. Click the start button and search %appdata%.
    2. Find and enter the .minecraft folder.
    3. Find the saves folder and right-click it, there should be an option called restore previous versions.

    Some users playing Outer Worlds for Windows have experienced a bug with saves where the game does not properly place the saves in the right folder. Basically the "_LOCAL_" folder is not the right place the saves should be in, rather a folder in the same
    path that is just a random numerical string. That is the folder you need to move the saves to from the _LOCAL_ folder. The path through WindowsApps is the game directory with the program files that is locked from accessing unless you change permissions, which
    is not recommend and that is not where saves for Outer Worlds go anyway.
