Groove Music Cutting Off

Discus and support Groove Music Cutting Off in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I use Groove Music to play background music from my OneDrive while gaming.     Groove Music Cutting Off


    I use Groove Music to play background music from my OneDrive while gaming. Lately it has started cutting off long songs at around the 8 minute mark. I'm not exactly sure when it started happening but songs that used to play all the way through now have started
    cutting off.

    It tends to be songs that are over 15 min long that do this.I'm having it happen on certain songs in particular.

    I've removed them from my OneDrive and then added them back again,same problem.

    I've listened on my computer from the OneDrive and they play all the way through using Groove music there.

    It's when played on the XBox One that I have trouble.

    Anyone else notice this. Any suggestions?

    Groove Music radio is not aviable for me. I don't have Groove Music radio and Groove Music playlist in audi settings. Groove playlist shuffle option not working also. Can i somehow use Groove Music Radio in FH3 in Poland? Leave a comment if you need more

    Groove Music Cutting Off

    I've been complaining about this for months. They just ignore me. And I'm not listening to it in the background while gaming, I'm listening to it in the foreground. Mine cuts off anywhere between 6 and 8 minutes. As a classical music maniac I cannot tell
    you the rage it gives me to have a movement in a symphony just cut off. It's enraging and if I could get my hands on the programmer responsible I don't think it would end well. I don't understand why they will not take this problem seriously. I don't have
    any other app on the Xbox for playing my OneDrive music in a way that is organized like Groove. The UI in Groove is perfect, the way it automatically detects music from OneDrive is perfect, but the g*d*mn thing simply cannot get through a longer track without
    stopping and skipping to the next track, rendering it not only useless but very stressful.

    There was an update recently.It added an equalizer and I don't know what else.Even after the update tracks still cut off.This is getting bad.I've posted a few times about this and no one has ever replied. I wish someone from MS or Xbox would at least reply

    Question for you... How do you get your music? Mine is a combination of music I imported from CD with iTunes and music I bought with iTunes. My iTunes media folder is a OneDrive synced folder and so anything I buy with iTunes almost immediately appears in
    Groove. Is this similar to your situation?

    Mine comes from my One Drive that I populated with music I have on my PC.I have my CD collection on a drive on my computer as MP3 files.I then took some of those tracks and added them to the One Drive using the PC.When I listen on XBox I just pull em off
    the One Drive with Groove music.

    Couple things.

    I tried playing from One Drive with my PC and all the tracks I have trouble with on XBox play completely through.It's a Win10 PC with latest updates.

    As far as I can tell all of the tracks that cut off are greater than 15 min in length.They all cut off within a couple seconds of the 8 min mark,no fail.I'm gonna guess that that's where you are running into trouble also as Classical music tends to be of
    longer length.

    Yup, we're having the exact same experience. Even on my Windows Phone, Groove is flawless. It only does this on the Xbox. How can a 4 year old phone work better than my Xbox One? lol. At this point, I am ready to just plug my Windows 10 laptop into my receiver
    and listen to my music that way.

    Xbox I hope you are listening. Many people use the Xbox as a media center machine, not for games. I use my Xbox to watch TV, Netflix, HBO Go, YouTube, and movies I rent and buy from the Microsoft store. And yes, music. I almost never use it to play games.
    So if my Xbox one cannot do a simple thing like a play a damn track all the way through, you've got a serious problem on your hands.

    And why do I feel like we're shouting into the void here? Nobody from Microsoft is looking at this. Who the hell do we talk to, where do we go?

    There was an update that came through today for Groove on the Xbox.I haven't tried to use it since doing a hard reset.I'll try in morning to see if it makes any difference.I'm not hopeful.

    Did nothing to fix the problem. I've basically abandoned it. Now when I want to listen to music, I connect my laptop to my receiver with HDMI and use iTunes, which works flawlessly.

    When I started using the app today I noticed some new buttons in the mini player you see when on the Home menu. I hadn't noticed them yesterday afternoon.The Xbox doesn't show the app being updated but it has changed. I decided to try playing some of the
    longer tracks and to my surprise they all played completely through,first time in months.

    You might want to give it a try if you're still interested.

    I don't want to be too optimistic but it may have been fixed.Still need a couple more days of use to be sure.
