Groove 3 month promo code frustration

Initially didn't get my 3 month promotion but the kind people of this forum sent me it a few days after my subscription ended. Sadly, even though I applied the code to my account and the subscription tabs of my account on pc and Xbox One show an active Music
Pass, the service isn't working anywhere I've tried to use it. Android app, web player, and Xbox one groove app all don't detect an active subscription and fail to play music. I've been talking to support but they keep routing me to departments that routed
me to them in the first place. I've spent hours troubleshooting on chat.

The last thing suggested was I cancel my free 3 months subscription (which I can't do, it won't let me I tried) and get a new code. I'm at my wit's ends. Going to give up and never come back if this isn't resolved promptly. Way to mess up a promotion. I'm
left so sour, it actually impacts my view of other Microsoft products.

Subscribed to Groove Music Pass promotion, promo code never sent

Last month I clicked on an ad on Xbox One that offered a promo code for 3 months of Groove Music Pass after buying one month. I bought a month through the ad, the promo code never came. I have been waiting over a month.

 

Groove Music 3 Month Free Promo Code Missing

I did not receive a promo code for my 3 months free groove music, can you please ensure this is added to my account? I added groove music on 8/12/16.

Sorry to hear about the issue. I'm not sure what troubleshooting steps you've tried already so I'm going to give you some steps to try. Let's go through the following in order and hopefully one of the helps!

• Power cycle your Xbox One console
  
• Remove the app, power cycle, then reinstall
  
• Remove your Xbox Live account, power cycle, add your account back
  

Give those a shot and let us know if it helps. It could also be that for some reason, there's been a delay in propagating the license to your account so if you still experience issues in the coming days, please be sure to let us know.
