    Graphics Card Doesn't Support DX12


    My son got Forza Horizon 4 and when I install it, I get an error message that my graphics card does not support dx12. I am confused because when I run dxdiag, it says my computer has the DX12. How can I bypass this? Is there something I need to add to
    my computer to make it work? My son is so devastated. It was literally the main thing he wanted for Christmas. Thanks in advance!

    Are you sure that your graphics card supports DX12? The i5-2450M is 4 years old an has a Intel HD 3000. If your graphics card doesn't support DX12, Windows can't use it. If you want to use DX12, you need a graphics card supporting it.

    Your GPU doesn't support DX12, and wouldn't have the power anyway, it's ten years old and does not support DX12 ultimate which is required

    You need a dedicated graphics card

    Hi,

    Your laptop doesn't support DX12 Ultimate. It's designed for high end dedicated graphics cards.

    The Celeron N100 is low end, low powered processor that with it's iGPU, draws only 10W.

    DX ultimate is primarily designed for AMD 6xxxx and Nvidia RTX 20,30 and 40 Series graphics cards.
