Grandpa Asking For Game Suggestions (Car Racing, etc.)

Can`t think of a single racing game where all cars, tracks, etc are unlocked from the start.

All have a tendency to be progressive, using a points/experience system to upgrade as you always start with basic vehicles.

As for the multi-player side of things, split screen two player is not very common at all now as most MP is on-line.

PS: I guess I might as well also ask if Forza is the best racing game out of all the rest I have seen. Need for speed, project car, etc. I know there a quite a few. Thanks again !

are you picking races that have a specified car/model?

or is the car you want to use above the specified PI level? or has some other restriction (turbo/noramllly aspirated, tuned/stock, etc)

or maybe you're racing in the "cycled production" races where the servers choose the cars/tracks for each race?

I have come across one issue. The controller is OK, but adding a steering wheel for car racing games is a problem. It does not seem to recognise the buttons during a game but does recognise the A / B buttons etc in the setting and home pages? I will contact
Onecast and ask their advice.

Forza Horizon is made by PG. They are a separate dev company. I do not know if this is how it works but its possible they need to "buy" cars from Turn 10 for inclusion in the game or get new cars modelled etc. Compared to other road based racing games on
the 360 Horizon has the largest car list. That's right there is no other road based racing game on the 360 with more cars.



As for this pack the BRZ (even after the incusion of the FRS) has been one of the most requested cars of Turn 10. And before peopel say it's exactly the same car and the devs are lazy etc. The front grille is different and there are enough visual minor differences
to suggests it is not a simple cut and paste job. Also the cars stats and characteristics are different in game. Sure the differences are minor but they match the real world. In short there are plenty of people who have asked for it.



Up unitl now the cars not seen before in a Forza game have been modern models. The RX3 is one of the most sought after older cars. They have sourced one and modelled it to keep people happy who have requested it.



FJ - Horizon is a game where part of the gameplay is simply having fun whethe rit be on the golf course, or Bunker etc. The FJ clearly fits into that mould.



Ferrari...well its a Ferrari.



Datsun 510 awesome in FM4. Maybe less so in Horizon but it competes well with the RX3 and has a strong place in automotive history.



Country Squire - another fun wagon.



Sure not everyone will like the pack but there are good news stories for each of the cars.
