GOW4 Promo codes do not work - 2 months now talking with support & passed to the forum

I purchased Gears Of War 4 got the codes for GOW, GOW2, GOW3 and GOW JD.

Only GOW JD has worked after 2 month of talking to support.

the other 3 do not work with an error code of XBOS-3012.

I want this sorted now as I am getting very pissed of with the high quality of MS support that cant seem to solve this problem.

Quantum Break Free Code Not Received Yet

more than a month passed since the launch still not received.

I contacted several times but they just said please wait for a while.

Now They told me I have to post claim on forum, so this is it.

Didn't receive Groove 3M promo code

Xbox Billing support asked me to post here.

I signed up for Groove on 16th July because of this Buy 1M get 3M free promo:

"Upon completion of first billing cycle, customer will receive via email a promo code valid for 90 days of Music Pass at no charge. Limit 1 promo code per customer, single use only. Promo code must be used by August 31, 2016."

My Groove pass was activated but I received no confirmation of the promo at the time - so checked with Xbox Support chat on 31st July, who confirmed that I would receive promo code at end of first (paid for) month.

First month ended on 16th August and I received email from Microsoft cancelling subscription after one month and I received no code. I raised again with support, who have not managed to resolve but now recommend that I raise on this forum.

Can you help and provide me with a promo code for 3M Groove? Thanks in advance

 

That error code usually means it's a region issue. Does your account region match your physical location?

If everything does match, you may want to try re-entering your information at
http://commerce.microsoft.com (even if everything is correct). If that doesn't work, you'd want to try migrating your account region (Update Microsoft account if Moving to a New Country or Region)

 

My account and everything is Australian but my physical location is Thailand at the moment. GOW:JD worked under these conditions but the other 3 do not.

During the last 2 months talking and waiting for MS Support to help with there guidance I have already tried that in both New Zealand and Thailand and it does not work.

I have also tried using the codes on my XBOX ONE, my XBOX 360 and mainly vis the web.

I just want the games I was promised and to stop spending valuable time on this. If this forum cant help sort this then I will go back to MS Support.

 

Gears 1 and 3 are region locked. So you would have to physically be located in Australia in order to download those games. Gears 2 should work since it's not region locked.

 

OK, thanks for the information, the GOW2 code says it is for GOW so MS sent the wrong code.

Also its a wonder that MS Support couldn't tell me this 2 months ago.

So I would have to physically take my XBOX One to Australia to download.

So why cant I activate the codes online without downloading them to my Xbox one

 

Support doesnt really deal with individual downloads

They don't have Xbox's that they can just use

They most like will.use their physical region unless the call center isn't at a Xbox live region

Smwutches is correct that these games do have region restrictions, and must be redeemed in the region your account is set to. Additionally, since Thailand is not an
Xbox Live supported region, unfortunately there isn't any additional assistance we can provide in this scenario.
