Got my Xbox back from the offical Servie and repair and now i'm stuck in a loop!

Had issues with my Xbox One X, kept randomly resetting itself 5 mins or so after launching a game. Couldn't find a successful workaround so sent it to Microsoft for repair (under warranty) . It's finally back after a month (ironically warranty now expired!) and I cannot get it to work. It will not set up using the App - just get a 'not available' pop up on the phone. I also cannot do it the old fashioned way, it checks for updates and then I get the "There was a problem with the update" screen and 0x80072F8F etc. The Check Network option tells me my connection is good but there is an Xbox service problem - checking the Xbox services online shows no such problems! tried the trouble shooters - Power Cycle , Reset, Reset to factory setting, Offline system update and every time end up at the same point! wondering if Microsoft realised my warranty would expire during the return trip and have sent me a potato to force me into getting the Series S or X?

Any one any ideas if there is a way out of this Checking for update loop?

Are you connecting via Wi-Fi? I only ask as I am reading stuff from 2014 with the same issue and a potential solve is to use a Wired connection for the initial setup and then use WI-Fi once it's done...this is even though the connection status is showing as fine

Another alternative is to try an offline update...although how you do that or where you download the data from is not something I know unfortunately

I'm now back on my profile after 5 days of being stuck in a looping download screen, I downloaded it to my usb and moved it to my HDD. It worked so try it maybe today is the day for everyone.

I also tried chat support, I'm not really sure it got me anywhere cause I'm still stuck in my loop. Let me know if you had any luck.

Same thing here, Xbox support send me to Square Enix but since I bought it from the Xbox Store i'm stuck in a loop

The saves can be SEEN by the game, but they cannot be LOADED!

I'm just stuck in a LOAD LOOP, the loading goes from 0% to 100% and then back to 0% and this keeps repeating.
