    Got my X1X hooked up. All Good. My launch day Xbox One Day One edition was left on 24/7....


    After the 360’s heat issues, MS did us a solid with the huge well ventilated 1st gen X1. I left it on all the time so the missus could easily watch tv from out satellite receiver via the pass through hdmi. She could also launch Netflix, Hulu, cbs, etc
    from their apps. Bottom line, spouse friendly.

    I’d love to do the same with the X1X. It is installed in a custom rack cabinet with good airflow and a few inches of space above it, installed horizontally. Has MS done testing on leaving it on, and if so, does the new box perform as well long term, or
    do they recommend it be shut off each night after use because of the bigger heat generation issues?

    Still waiting for my "day one" edition console...maybe I'll get it tomorrow, day 11... thanks Microsoft. I got my ps4 from bestbuy on Day 1 and that one wasn't even called a "day one edition". With the better graphics, cheaper price and actually arriving
    on launch day I think I will be supporting sony from now on. I was an xbox guy and wanted to stay xbox but all these epic fails by Microsoft are making me reconsider.

    xbox one turns on but wont go pass the green screen and the unit shuts off

    so I got my xbox one day one edition and hooked it up. I turned it on to be depressed, that great green screen came on got me all excited then the system shut off and that is all it doing. I have unplugged the system and did it all over again and nothing
    changed!!! SOMEONE HELP

    Sounds good. I went to the microsoft store in my local mall and put down $50 towards the xbox one day one edition. It is not for me but for my son for his Bday/Xmas. I was told from the MSFT sales person that it is the day one edition and should get it

    Small Gamestop 6PM tonight

    Got to my game stop at 5pm and was 3rd in line. They had like 7 units for non-preorders. The 7th person didn't get in line until 15 mins to 6. Was pretty surprised. Out of the 7 units, only the first 2 were day one editions. I have a day one shipping to
    me tomorrow and got this one for a family member so it worked out pretty good.

    ThenXbox One Elite bundle is cool and a good deal. I would have went with this to replace my Day One edition (save my Day 1 as a back up )Xbox One. But the Halo 5 Limited Edition was to much awesomemess for me to pass up.
