got banned for defending myself

last night i created a post for a game and a stranger sent me a message making fun of my gamertag and looking for trouble, i texted back defending myself, and today i got a enforcement ban? why would i get banned if i don't know this person who texted harassing
me first? did that person get banned also? because he started the whole thing while i was minding my own business. do you think its fair to get banned for defending yourself? we all have the right

Someone messaged me on xbox saying that i had no life and that he was better than me and then his friend got involved and messaged me as well. Since i was camping one of them called me a girl and then i said the "c" word in a sentence not directed at him
and then him and his friend reported me and i got banned im pretty sure that this is unfair towards me since i was being harassed by 2 people and reported them both and nothing happened.

The enforcement team will review what happened again to determine if they made a mistake with issuing the suspension. If they did, then it would be lifted. If they still determine you violated the code of conduct, the suspension will be upheld.

 

It doesn't matter how the situation starts. If you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct you can be banned. In situations like that, it's best to just file a complaint on the other person and block communications with them.

Not if you don't respond. People like that are usually doing it just to get a rise out of you and get you to respond. If you don't give in, then they don't win.

 

Microsoft enforcement policy doesnt work and 90% percent of the time they dont even review the reports, its basically just a corrupt game of who reports first and how many reports do you get. I know people (trolls) who provoke other people on purpose to
get them to react agressively and when they do respond they get banned while the harrasers laughs and moves on to the next victim! I know this because it happened to me!

 

Are you just going through the forums and finding posts about account suspensions some of them being YEARS old and copying and pasting your response to them?
