Got a bunch of used games...

Hey, so I got some old games from eBay. Some are working great, and some not so much. I'm running them all on an Xbox 360 S.

Games that are working great:

GTA III & Vice City

Manhunt

Max Payne 2

State of Emergency

Games that aren't running great:

Max Payne 1

Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War

The Orange Box

FEAR series

I'm ranking these based on smoothness of gameplay (aka frame rate). A few of these games came out the same production year.

Now, my question is, can I do anything about it? Is it from dust in my Xbox 360? Are there flaws with the discs themselves? Or were they just designed this way and there's nothing I can do about it?

I tried formatting my drive, clearing my cache, and resetting updates. It made no difference.

I should mention, when I first got Manhunt it would freeze up and the menu was missing text. The new copy I got works great, though.

The discs have light marks on them, nothing serious.

The region is correct, North American. All the original Xbox games are backwards compatible.

Are the discs scratched at all? If not it could be that your xbox isn’t running well with those games. You could try clearing your cache. Also may try cleaning the discs with a microfiber cloth.

If it is the discs, and I get them resurfaced, would that fix the problem? There are only small markings on the discs.

If the discs are scratched take them to have them fixed.

The issues can be multifold from the condition of the discs to the region availability and the fact that the title might not be supported for bc.
