Gold, to Gamepass, back to gold, no refund?

I subbed to annual Gold may 20. I subbed to Gamepass right away after. Then I cancelled gamepass and it expired. Now I have to pay another $70 for another annual gold? Where is my original $70?

Did you purchase Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate? If it was Game Pass Ultimate, the remaining gold you had would have been cancelled and converted to Ultimate since Ultimate includes gold (so you would have had the remaining 12 months plus the amount of
Ultimate you purchased). So cancelling Ultimate would have cancelled everything.

i said in the post i didnt buy it with gamepass or gold so as not to confuse people who are saying i need to buy back gamepass/gold

whatever else you do, do not cancel the Ultimate Gamepass as you might not get refunded for the Gold

Are you not able to select Xbox Live Gold from the membership section of the Store and purchase?

If you upgrade Live Gold to Ultimate and cancel, you can choose either to come back.

With Live Gold you do not have access to GamePass / GamePass for PC.
