    Gold Tenure Changing on Its Own


    When I log into my Xbox 360, my tenure is stated correctly at nine years.

    (Created this account in October '08 and was at silver for approximately a month, cumulatively)

    However, it's a completely different story on my Xbox One (and even the Xbox website).

    For the past few days, my tenure has been going back and forth between eight and nine years, as if it's a flickering light switch.

    Is this normal? Is there anything I can do about it to make it stay at the correct tenure?

    Xbox live tenure went from 5 to 0

    even changing it to "gold tenure" would get rid of any confusion

    you have to be gold to have a tenure icon if you use game sharing and the other guy have the gold you wont get the tenure icon you need to have your own gold subscription

    EDIT: the tenure won't reset when you renew your gold subscription

    There was a change in counting the time for tenure.

    1. So ONLY the PAID gold time is counted.

    2. All free times/trials of gold

    are not taken in account.

    3. The tenure is round down. So you will have tenure 2 exacly the day you start your

    third paid gold year.

    Hi Linux,

    The reason for this is that the way that we calculate tenure has changed. It used to be that you accrued tenure for all of your time on LIVE but now tenure is calculated using the time that you are a Gold member. This also does not include free trial Gold memberships.

    One year of tenure is 365 of Gold. It does not have to be consecutive and you don't lost tenure by going silver, but you have to accumulate a total of 365 days total. For instance if I got a Gold membership today, on 8/24/2014 I would have a tenure of 0. On
    8/25/2013, I would have a tenure of 1.
