GOG and microsoft.com purchases don't work with each other?

    GOG and microsoft.com purchases don't work with each other?


    So I have purchased and played a bunch of Stellaris on Xbox and when I got my computer I decided to buy it for my computer and purchase additional DLC when I can afford it. To my surprise when I went looking for it I found it on GOG. I downloaded it and got almost 50$ worth of DLC. Yesterday I looked up more DLC for it and tried to buy it only to have it tell me that I needed to purchase the game to be able to buy the DLC. I figure that Microsoft removed it from GOG. So I buy the base version along with the DLC I was wanting to get. I start playing it and I notice that I don't have any of the Utopia DLC. So I save and quit and then go hunting for why I'm missing the DLC. I found out that even tho it uses the same launcher (paradox Interactive) the GOG and Microsoft purchases don't recognize each other.

    Anyone got suggestions on how to fix this short of asking for a refund and then repurchasing them on one or the other?

    Xbox games to pc

    unfortunately it is right, only limited games are in the play anywhere program meaning most games need to be purchased for each platform you play on, don't forget you don't own the game only a licence to play said game, has always been like this.

    a lot of the games on xbox console are not even available on the microsoft store for pc and would have to be purchased from Steam, Gog, EA and ubisoft and many others.

    getting gamepass pc will allow your child to play the games that are in the gamepass on pc, including minecraft.

    UK Price £7.99

    US Price $9.99

    If he primarily plays minecraft then just purchase that and save your money, and as he is playing on PC there is no need for gold as online play is free.

    Can i use the files from a game on steam to not have to download a game from xbox game pass pc?

    yet you can use the files from GOG, Steam, EA, Ubisoft and Epic between each other as I do this. A lot of the games from the Epic store are actually steam games lol.

    Why cant I install my Fable 3 for PC anymore and why do I need windows (or xbox) live for pc to play it when you no longer support it? So it is unplayable?

    or purchase on GOG with live stripped out of it.

    Thank you for the info, but GOG? Ive purchased every game from the xbox store on the XBox One or Xbox 360. I dont play games on PC.
    GOG is Good Ole Games located at gog.com

    It's pretty much the only place where you can purchase a digital game (for the PC) and actually own it because they don't bundle any annoying DRM into their software.

    I have switched from a older PC to a new PC, and logged in on the same account, and I dont have any game progress...

    90% of the games don't utilise cloud saving which technically should be the standard, near all steam games do, and GOG and many others.
