Glitch when trying to purchase XBOX 360 games and Xbox Original games

Cant purchase XBOX 360 games and or Xbox original games. Unable to change payment method. Can purchase XBOX one games fine.

Even talked to support got a case number: 1505945033,
and 150601613

I keep following up but nothing ever gets fixed. How can i be a customer if I cant buy anything I want?

This has been happening for the better part of this year.

Anyone there Xbox? Still not working, support doesnt seem to have a clue. Does anyone have a clue anywhere?

Hello,

You'd need to do exactly what the message tells you to. You need to attach an original Xbox 360 hard drive to your console in order to be able to play original Xbox games.

If you have a Xbox 360 S 4GB or a Xbox 360 Original Arcade console then you'd need to get yourself an original Xbox 360 hard drive (either for the original Xbox 360, or the Xbox 360 Slim). This information is told to you when purchasing the game in the games
description. An original Xbox 360 hard drive can be purchased from most gaming related retail stores like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Gamestop, etc.

"An Xbox 360 hard drive is required to use this item"

You can play some original Xbox games on your Xbox 360 console if you have an official Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

If you’re not able to play a game that's an xbox original game, try updating your console software.

That game is on the list, what does it say when you try to play it?

I'm glad you got the email problem fixed (the 30 day period is triggered when you change too much personal info) but unfortunately the problem about money in your account not being usable for xbox 360/xbox original games is by design. It has been like this
since currency was microsoft points - they can't be used to purchase xbox 360 or original xbox games and you must be on an adult account to buy them.

So you will have to buy Portal 2 on an adult account and with a credit/debit/paypal payment method as the currency stored in your account can NOT be used for xbox 360/xbox original games.

When you get "please try downloading again" when you have the actual disc version of the game it means that you do not have a legitimate XBOX 360 original hard drive. Aftermarket or knock off hard drives do not have the ability to play original XBOX games
on the XBOX 360 console.

If you purchased this off of a 3rd party retailer or something like eBay or Amazon Marketplace more than likely if you paid a very cheap price for it you got a knock off and it won't be able to play original XBOX games but it will be able to play XBOX 360 games
and arcade titles.
