Give a code to an Adult

Hi..

So I’m trying to buy a 17+ game but it says I’m not old enough and to “give this code to an adult”. I dont have any family settings connected to my Xbox1, and I dont know how to “give the code to an adult” so i can play the game. Please help? (I am under
18 i just dont know who to give the “code” to or where the code even is.)

If your children have a child account then you can prevent purchases. If you give them an adult account Xbox will treat them like adults.

Alternately you can, you know, not give them your credit card. Gold and points can be obtained with prepaid codes that don't require having a credit card on file. No credit card, no purchases. Simple.

Is the account in question a child's or adult's account? If its a child account you may want to change it to an adult account and give it a shot.

Whilst I can understand your frustration, Xbox Live is rated E for everyone and just because it is an 18 rated game and may contain adult themed language etc, does not give you the right to send messages that break the code of conduct.
