    Gift restricted to regions...



    • I made a gift and I'm usually living in the US (Account was made in the US) but currently in Germany. I wanted to play with a friend "State of Decay 2" and I gifted the game to him (US) but whenever he redeems the code/gift it says that he's living in another
      region. How to fix this so that we can finally play this game?

    I was gifted a game but can't redeem it and didn't show on my owned game list.

    There's no way bypass region restrictions. Xbox gifting is region locked. So the code will only work for the region it was purchased from. If you're not in that region, it will not work.

    Xbox One games do not have region restrictions. However, if he bought you a digital code as a gift using the new gifting feature then you won't be able to redeem that as gifting is currently only region specific.

    There's no way to bypass region restrictions. The person who gifted it would need to get a refund and then find a site that sells codes for your region.

    Gifting is region locked. There is no way around that. Changing your region would require you to have a payment method from that region and it's not recommended to try changing your account region to bypass region restrictions. The only other way to gift
    it is to find a website where you can purchase the item for their region.

    How do I redeem a gift card from different region

    Gift cards can only be redeemed in the region they were created for. There's no way to bypass that. Changing your account region to bypass region restrictions violates the terms of service as well.
