    Hi my name is Brandon Rudde and my brother bought me a game and sent it to me as a digital gift and he bought it in the usa and im in japan because im in the military. The message that pops up says i need to contact the seller to get a new code and i was
    wondering if it was xbox or microsoft that i needed to contact and if it was an easy process to fix.

    gift code wont redeem.

    If he gifted it through Xbox, he would need to contact Xbox customer support if he wants a refund. The codes from the gifting option are region locked and will only work in the region they were gifted from.

    That sucks hopefully I can get refund
    If your friend already redeemed the code then you wont be able to unfortunately. Gifted items are only eligible for a refund if it hasn't already been redeemed.

    i redeemed a gift code and it wouldn't let me download it and i can't redeem it again

    i redeemed an xbox gift code on microsoft, i redeemed it sucessfully but it wouldn't download.

    I have tried to fix the problem but made it worse as now i can't see it download and i can't find it on my PC anymore. I tried to redeem it again and it wont let me.
    What is the game? Also was the code for the Xbox or PC version of the game. Asking because redeeming a code for the Xbox version of a game wont necessarily give you the PC version unless the game is a play anywhere title.
