    Redeem Code error "This code isn't active yet".

    I received an xbox gift card for Christmas. When I enter the redeem code I receive "This code isn't active yet". How does that happen and how do I redeem my gift card?

    gift code redeem issue

    The games are region locked so in order to download, your account region has to match your physical location and you have to live in a region where the games are available for download.

    Remember language independence is only an xbox one feature not xbox 360

    As mentioned by smwutches your account region and actual region and console region must match

    Hey loai -

    As mentioned by Smwutches and ngocphi, it sounds like your Xbox Live account region doesn't match your current physical location. The Gears of War codes in particular are very finicky when it comes to redemption so if you do have a region mismatch, you'll
    want to migrate your account to your correct region and then try again.
