    I use Debit and Gift cards. Sometimes the gift cards can be had for cheap. Otherwise I just my debit card. Its been on file for like 5 years and never had an issue. MS security is top notch.

    Hi there.

    Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done by Microsoft in terms of redeemed gift cards. You will need to take the gift cards back to the retailer where you purchased them from and explain the issue. They may issue a new gift card or refund your purchase.

    And yes people do switch regions to try and gain access to free content

    As smwutches mentioned part of verification includes verifying who you are

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    First, check and validate your Microsoft balance by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments, make sure that it's showing up from there.

    Once confirmed, try purchasing the game again.
