    Gift card dilemma...


    I am from South Africa, currently living in china... I bought an xsx (region free) console from a international vendor in china, my payment method is also set to the south African currency... My issue is that, the vendor who i bought the console from only sells HK$ and usd gift cards so my question is that... if i buy a HK$ gift card and change my consoles region to hong kong, will i be able to redeem and use the funds to buy games?

    Are you in china proper or HK?

    You cannot use any Xbox in China except their custom ones. You cannot acccess Xbox services outside of China

    You also cannot use your SA account in China even if you could, as you are not physically there. Your account, your payment, and your physical location must all match

    Thats my dilemma. It's non existant. Will give it a few days and hopefully it'll reappeaer and we'll get it sorted. Worse case scenario, i get her a gold and she can then cash her points in for gift card value to buy herself a game.

    Cannot select authorized payment! Yeh yeh...Ive heard it all before...

    If your credit card is giving you issues, you should inform the credit company of your dilemma.

    Why can’t we use Microsoft account balance to purchase digital xbox gift card?

    Gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards. The Microsoft account balance is essentially the same as a gift card since funds typically come from Xbox gift cards.

    Once it's approved by ms

    If xbox 3-5business day

    Keep in mind it was just thenholidays so expect delays
