Ghost PIN, Windows Hello, and inaccessible services - how can I fix this?

Helllo! I've had a great deal of trouble as I've been seeking to sign into several things with this Microsoft account, and failed.

A long time ago, maybe in my early teens, I created an account and probably with it came a PIN I set down, which I frankly have no idea for what purpose it serves. This PIN isn't needed to access the account's desktop. It isn't the PIN from Windows Hello I have currently set. It appears to be a completely different PIN and I've got no clue as to what the PIN is.

My most recent hardship has been getting Minecraft, without thinking, on this account. To access Minecraft, I need to do it through the account I bought the game with, which in turn requires me to log into Xbox.

Now, when logging into Xbox with my account, I am asked to "set up Windows Hello";

One would assume this is the Windows Hello PIN, but when I put in the Windows Hello PIN that I already changed and reset two times, the PIN is deemed incorrect, rendering Xbox (and consequently, the paid Minecraft game) completely inaccessible. I've also tried turning off Windows Hello entirely yet it continues demanding its set-up when I try to access Xbox.

I don't know what to do anymore - I've really gone out of my way to try and fix this to no avail. Isn't there a way Windows Support could reset whatever PIN this is so I can move on?
